WORLD'S LARGEST CONTINGENT OF SCHOOL STUDENTS TO ACCOMPLISH EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

JGI SCHOOLS from Hyderabad,

Telangana State, India has created a world record by sending

the largest contingent of school students to accomplish

 Everest Base Camp Trek on 18 Oct, 2017. The contingent

consisted of 25 students and 5 adults wherein the youngest

 student being a 7-year-old boy and the oldest student

being 16 years old. Dr. Chandrashekar D P, CEO of JGI

Schools was the main brain behind this 15 days trek which

 commenced on 8 October and concluded on 23 October

 2017. The contingent trekked up to a height of 5364

meters in the mighty Himalayan Khumbhu Range. India's

youngest professional mountaineer and guide Ms. Jaahnavi

Sriperumbuduru successfully guided the contingent to

complete the trek. Dr.Krishna Rao, Director - JanJay

Adventures was the chief coach for the contingent. JGI

Schools is the first school in the world to send the largest

contingent ever to the Everest Base Camp Trek with technical

partners as JanJay Adventures, Hyderabad and Peak

Promotion, Nepal. The Trekking Agencies' Association

 of Nepal has officially certified this achievement on

23 October 2017 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
